David Choe was born and raised in Los Angeles. Now 26 years old, David calls the bay area his home. David hops and hikes around the globe destroying it's crust, leaving his mark behind. Infecting young minds with his art and journalism. He has traveled to some of the most Dangerous places on earth, from the Congo, to the Gaza strip, documenting it with art, photos and writings. His adventures have been featured in GIANT ROBOT magazine, and VICE magazine . He has drawn comics for small unknown independent comics publishers in Yugoslavia, to American heavyweights like Marvel comics. He has worked for some of the top advertising firms in the U.S. like Seineger Advertising, to ghosting under famous abstract artists, to working with Levi's, IBM, Larry Flynt Publications, to destroying entire movie sets for Warner Brothers pictures and Sony pictures. He is the man behind the man , and sometimes he is the man. But what he enjoys most is creating art for people who don't really care about art, because David himself hates most art and artists. To date he has self-published two highly acclaimed comic/journal/scrapbook/novellas (BRUISED FRUIT & SLOW JAMS). His murals can be found on train lines across America to the cuchi tunnels of Vietnam. David plans to continue to infect society with his work until he's stopped dead in his tracks.
