RE:BOB Barron Storey Paintings
VIEW AVAILABLE WORKS ONLINE
An illustrator, graphic novelist, and noted educator, Barron Storey has created award-winning artworks for the covers and pages of Time, National Geographic, Saturday Review, and The Sandman: Endless Nights among others. The artist’s paintings are held in the collections of the National Air and Space Museum, the American Museum of Natural History, and the National Portrait Gallery. His published journals include Life After Black and Marat/Sade Journals. The forthcoming book Black Iraq documents each painting from his sold out exhibition of the same name at Anno Domini in 2005. This is Storey’s fourth solo exhibition with Anno Domini.
"I've been referencing Bob Dylan's lyrics in my journal for many years. They are words that I have been living by for most of my life. I've often taken liberties with them, finding in them a lens through which to make sense of my personal life as well as life in general. Dylan is an oracle, for me and many others.
These works are a sharing and a tribute, offered with profound respect."
~ Barron Storey, San Francisco, 2010
